The future of the LAFT

Over the past 5 years I have written many announcements and blogposts on this website but this might be one of the most difficult ones. Since announcing my pregnancy life has been a rollercoaster and in between twists and turns I have tried to give proper attention to the future of the LAFT. Reaching a decision has been difficult but over the past weeks one thing has become clear: after 29 April -when I go on pregnancy leave- all studio classes wil come to a permanent stop.

Why studio classes will stop

There is an abundance of personal and business related reasons but I would like to take this space to explain some of the most important ones. Over the past years I have enjoyed my Saturday mornings (and of course all other) moments with the tribe tremendously but now that I’m starting a family I would like to have the opportunity to spend my weekends and evenings at home. Even though I will miss you guys, I’m also very much looking forward to having a weekend off :)

As a small business owner I also notice that it is getting increasingly difficult to stay afloat in the wellbeing industry. Expensive studios are popping up left and right and as an individual it takes a lot of time and dedication to keep up. That’s why I feel like the LAFT studio simply needs and deserves more than I can put into it at the moment.

New boss(lady)?

The past 5 years I have poured my heart and soul into the tribe so I’m not ready to give it up completely. That’s why in September I will pick up my company courses again and will be open to new requests.

I’m also open to explore new collaborations. I would like to stay on as owner of the company but if you see yourself running the day to day business, feel free to contact me. Maybe we can dive into the possibilities together.

It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to my studio classes so I hope to see you all in the upcoming month for a proper goodbye. There are plenty of classes on the schedule.
