SHARING CIRCLE
We start this mini-retreat with a sharing circle and time to write down your intention. Doing so, helps you to reflect, focus and connect.
YIN YOGA
Marijke facilitates a yin yoga practice connected to the fire element. Fire is the element connected to summer in Traditional Chinese Medicine, the system on which Yin Yoga is based. The fire element is connected to joy, passion and recklessness.
In yin yoga, you hold lying and sitting positions for 3-5 minutes, targeting the deeper layers of your body. This deep relaxation stimulates your meridians (energy paths in the body) and organs, releasing irritation and cultivating patience and compassion.
YOGA NIDRA
After this, Erika will take you into an even more relaxed state with a Yoga Nidra practice that brings lightness and warmth. As you lie down and listen to Erika's voice, she puts you into the Deep Sleep State: empty of thoughts, full of healing and insight.
In Yoga Nidra, we work with the three doshas, the energetic forces of nature according to the Ayurvedic system. In summer, the Pitta Dosha is most present, a combination of fire and water qualities. The Pitta Dosha is hot, sharp, light and intense. This practice will balance your Pitta and bring your body and mind back into balance.

We provide mats, pillows, and blankets to ensure your comfort. However, feel free to bring any additional items that will enhance your relaxation, such as warm socks or an eye pillow. You’re invited to bring a pen and paper too, to write down your intentions and anything that comes to mind
