Breathwork with Anton Nootenboom

 

You might be more familiar with Anton Nootenboom as the barefoot Dutchman. This is the title of his book and the name he required when he walked from Cairns to Sydney barefoot to raise awareness for men’s mental health.

On Sunday 26 February Anton will take you on a mental health journey by sharing his story and expertly guiding you through a powerful breathwork session. He has learned his practice with the master of breath Johannes Egberts from Breathless Expeditions in Australia and is now on a mission to share this powerful tool with you in this 2,5 hour workshop.

Hi, I’m Anton

I’m a 36 years old Dutchman who lived in Australia for the last 7 years.

I have served in the Dutch army for ten years and went on 3 tours to Afghanistan. I became the first person ever to walk to Mount Everest base camp barefoot and most recently I walked a new Guinness world record, 3019km barefoot through Australia, to show that our mind and body are capable of so much more than we give ourselves credit for.

By doing this I wanted to create a platform to show that vulnerability and emotions are not a weakness but a strength that saves lives. On my own journey to overcome my mental health chapter I have learned many tools to overcome them.

But none are as important and powerful as the use of our own breath. It is a super power that we hold within ourselves to regulate our nervous system that has direct impact on our physical and emotional state. Too many of us are stuck in a permanent fight or flight mode, causes stress to our mind and body, without being fully aware of it.

Through this workshop I hope to spark a little fire in you. To feel that power that you hold. I will teach you how you can regulate your nervous system into your favour followed by a breakthrough breathwork session.

My intention is to unleash you from stress, anxiety and emotions that no longer serve you. Making space for new healthy and light energy to enter.
