NEW TEACHER: Paulina

About Paulina

NEW TEACHER ALERT: PAULINA 🔥

From now on, you can join Ashtanga yoga with Paulina, every Tuesday at the studio from 19:30-20:45!

Ashtanga yoga is a powerful yoga style that synchronizes breath and movement. It increases strength, stamina and flexibility and brings you into a meditative state.

That sounds wonderful, but can be a bit intimidating too. But Paulina is here to the rescue! She guides you through the half primary series with a good eye for technique, options for all levels and personal adjustments.

Let’s introduce Paulina:

Hi my name is Paulina, devoted yogi practitioner and teacher! I discovered the traditional Ashtanga method in 2009 with Pía Donoso in Santiago, Chile. From my first class with Pía, it felt there was something very special with the Ashtanga method, which came to my life to stay and started changing deep aspects of me.

I am also a dancer, and my dance career brought me to The Netherlands in 2010. After a few years of mainly focusing on dancing, I found my regular practice back. In 2017, Itravelled to Mysore in India to practice with Shashikala Govinda and later to Dharamkot to get a teacher certificate in Hatha and Ashtanga yoga with Vijay Amar. In April 2018 I did a second Ashtanga teacher training with David Swenson in Berlin and in 2019 I took classes from Petri Räisanen in The Hague. There’s always more to learn!

Yoga has been an incredible companion. It has helped me to discover the deepest potential of who I am. I believe yoga is a beautiful way to build a close and healthy relationship with ourselves. Connecting mind and body through conscious breathing and postures, becomes a meditation in movement, which invites us to give attention to the places of ourselves that we overlook in our daily busy modern live 🌿🤍

I’m looking forward to teach Ashtanga yoga to you at the studio! 🌟
